Learning to use the Internet
Learning to use and the Internet for research is a critical skill for students today. These lessons are a mixture of training to navigate and understand the internet, to evaluate the sources you are using, and to exercise good netiquette and honorable use of information.

The following exercise is designed to make sure all students can use all the skills necessary to use the internet, to follow written directions on the internet, and finally to learn a bit about the domains and sites that they may use. I usually prefer to pair two kids at a table --- one a good reader and one that struggles so that the stronger reader can help his/her partner. I usually go through the entire lesson on the screen first to illustrate how to do each page --- because there are so many ways to accomplish anything with a computer -- I want them to experience some of these to encourage them to try different ways to accomplish what they want to achieve.
